During the interrogation, Herman Heltman was talking about Azaryčy:
«Также мне известно, что по приказанию командования 110-й пех. дивизии, как в конце марта 1944 года, недалеко от д. Любань, южнее г. Паричи, было согнано 5.885 человек русских граждан в лагерь, обнесенный колючей проволокой, по углам стояли машины с прожекторами для освещения. Также этот лагерь охраняла рота солдат, командиром которой был старший лейтенант Шрейдер.
Это делалось по приказанию 110 пех. дивизии, так как эти люди подозревались как больные, а в действительности они все бли в сговоре. Все эти русские граждане были переданы немецким частям “СС”. Что они с ними делали мне неизвестно, так как нам пришлось отступить ». (Russian original)
“I know as well that by the order of the command of the 110th Infantry Division in the end of March 1944 not so far from the village Liubań on the South of the city Paryčy, 5885 people were taken to the camp surrounded by barbed wire, on the corners were trucks with spotlights. This camp was guarded by a company of soldiers that was commanded by the Senior Lieutenant Shreider.
It was made by the order of the 110th Infantry Division, because these people were suspected as sick, but in reality all of them were healthy. All these citizens later were given to the German regiments on “SS”. I don’t know what happened to them, because we needed to retreat.” (Translation of the Russian original)
