In his war diary, the 56th Tank Corps Quartermaster reports on the decision to only sort out deported cilivians who were fit for military service instead of those fit for work as originally planned. This affected 1.500 civilians who were then forced to join the local Civilian Labor Service Unit (Zivilarbeitsdienstabteilung, ZADA).
