On January 31, 1944, a telex from the 56th Tank Corps to the 4th Tank Division and 35th Infantry Division arrived. The order includes the further construction of the railroad to the village of Rudabielka. For this purpose, 1.500 civilians were to be brought in, who were divided between the two divisions. The tasks of the respective local commanders of the divisions included guarding the accommodation, ensuring the distribution of soldiers among the civilians as well as ensuring that the work is guarded.
