In its final report, the 9th Army headquarters reconstructs the events leading to the Azaryčy deportations. According to the report, the first operation meeting took place on March 9, 1944, discussing organisational matters of the deportation. Meticulously, the headquarters lists all the army departments that were involved in the deportations:
„Am 9.3.44 fand beim Chef des Generalstabs die erste und grundlegende Besprechung statt, an der außer den beteiligten Offizieren des A.O.K. die Quartiermeister der Gen.Kdos. die Ib der Divisionen, der Ev.T.O., der Kdr.d.AWS. und der Führer des S.D. teilnahmen.“ (German original)
“On March 9, 1944, the first and fundamental meeting took place at the Chief of the General Staff, which was attended by the officers of the Army High Command involved, the quartermasters of the Gen.Kdos. the Ib of the divisions, the Ev.T.O., the Kdr.d.AWS. and the leader of the SD.” (Translation of the German original)
